Little Wild Horse Canyon

After lunch on Memorial Day in the San Rafael Swell in Utah, we drove to the Little Wild Horse Canyon Trail Head. The place was crawling with families, but after the first half-mile, we didn't see too many people.  This canyon is very, very tight.  I had a hard time with it, yelling out a few bad words, talking to myself, and running at one point to get out as soon as possible.  After collecting myself at the opening near the end of the canyon, Dave and I headed back through.  I don't know why, but the way back was infinitely better.  Maybe it was because I knew there was an end, maybe I was distracted by conversation with Dave, maybe it was that the sun was overhead and made it feel bigger, but it was definitely fun on the way back.

These wavy canyons were so cool!

A little tight for me.  At one point we had to walk a little slanted with our hands on the walls.

Running ahead to get the heck out of there.

Hurry up!

Dave loved it 100% of the time.  Crazy kid!  This is the only picture I took in the canyon.  I guess I was a little freaked out to remember to take pictures.
I highly recommend this hike!

Oooo, cool looking, but it reminds me too much of the movie 127 hours! Glad you made it out safely :)

Oddly enough, I kind of forgot about the movie during the trip, but I had this fear of rocks falling on me the whole time. Maybe that's why!
