4th of July, a wedding, and NYC adventures

We spent the 4th of July in New Jersey with Dave's family.  It was great, complete with a full fireworks display by the neighbors!
Dave and nephew Gavin
Gavin likes to water the flowers, but then pick off their tops to share them with gals like me.
Happy 4th of July!

Just like prom pictures... off to Carly's wedding on one of the hottest, muggiest days of the year!
Beautiful bride Carly, a great friend of Dave's growing up and one of the only people he knew in NYC when he first moved there!
The wedding party trying not to melt.  Beautiful venue in NJ.

Loved this venue soooooo much!
A sweaty, fun, gorgeous wedding!
We went to a New York Philharmonic matinee of "The Planets" complete with visuals of the actual planets.

I should have taken a picture of Jessica and I instead of her view, but I visited high school friend and college roommate Jessica in Brooklyn and she made me the most amazing risotto!
We walked along the riverside highway and enjoyed the sunset.  Another day (not pictured) we biked down the bike highway, which was a fun adventure.

Checking out the sailboats.
